How to add & manage Account Settings?
Account Settings control global system behavior in Helix. Any configuration done here applies to all branches in the account unless specifically overridden at the Branch Settings level. These settings define patient flow behavior, EMR usage rules, security enforcement, and system-wide defaults.

💡 Tips & Good Practice
-
Global vs. Branch Settings:
If a configuration needs to vary across branches, keep the toggle disabled at the Account level and set it up under Branch Settings instead. -
ICD-10 Coding Prompts:
Enable Require ICD-10 and align it with your Medical Templates to reduce missed or incomplete diagnosis coding. -
48-Hour Edit Window (Compliance):
It is recommended to keep this enabled to maintain data integrity and audit compliance. Disable it only in exceptional cases (e.g., historical backfills) and re-enable it immediately after. -
Cross-Branch Access & Approvals:
In multi-branch setups, enable cross-branch approval controls to protect patient privacy and ensure a clear audit trail for sensitive actions. -
Price Editing Controls:
If Allow Edit Price is enabled, it’s best practice to configure approval workflows (User Settings → Approvals) to prevent unauthorized price modifications or uncontrolled discounting.
