How to add Prescriptions?

The Prescription Master List acts as a centralized library of medications that doctors can select from when creating prescriptions for patients.

🌐 Overview

This article explains how doctors can manage Prescriptions within the system, including:

  • Adding medications to the Prescription Master List

  • Creating Custom Prescriptions as reusable sets (Option B)

These features are designed to streamline prescribing, ensure consistency, and save time during consultations.

How It Works

  1. Doctors access the Prescription Master List.

  2. New medications can be added to the list when required.

  3. Once added, medications become available for selection during prescription creation.

If a doctor frequently prescribes a specific medication that is not yet available in the system. Adding it to the Prescription Master List ensures it can be reused for future patients without re-entering details.

2. Custom Prescription – Option B: Pre‑Defined Custom Prescriptions

Purpose

Custom Prescriptions allow doctors to create pre‑defined medication sets that can be reused. This is particularly useful for common conditions or treatment plans.

What Is Option B?

Option B enables doctors to pre‑define custom prescriptions as reusable templates, rather than creating prescriptions from scratch each time.

Key Benefits

  • Faster prescribing for recurring treatment plans

  • Consistency across patient prescriptions

  • Reduced risk of omissions or errors

How It Works

  1. Doctors create a Custom Prescription by selecting one or more medications.

  2. The prescription is saved as a reusable set.

  3. During future consultations, the doctor can select the custom prescription and apply it to the patient.

If a doctor treats multiple patients with the same condition requiring a standard combination of medications. By creating a custom prescription, the doctor can apply the entire set with a single action.

Summary

  • Prescription Master List: Used to manage and store individual medications.

  • Custom Prescriptions (Option B): Used to save and reuse predefined medication sets.

Together, these features help doctors prescribe more efficiently, accurately, and consistently.
