How to add Tax groups?

This article explains how to create, edit, and manage Tax Groups in the Control Panel and link them to the appropriate Input and Output ledgers.

🧾 Tax Groups

You may create tax groups depending on the region of the clinic. UAE has three standard tax groups:

  • Zero

  • Exempt

  • A country-specific rate (for example, 5% VAT), if applicable

These defaults must still be linked to the correct ledgers.


➕ Adding a New Tax Group

  1. Click + Add

  2. Enter:

    • Code

    • Description

    • Tax percentage (%)

  3. Select:

    • Output Account (ledger)

    • Input Account (ledger)
      (Both ledgers must already exist in the Chart of Accounts)

  4. Click Submit


✏️ Editing an Existing Tax Group

  • Open the row menu

  • Edit the Input Account and Output Account

  • Save changes


🗑️ Deleting a Tax Group

  • Use the row menu → Delete

  • Deleted groups are removed from selection lists


📝 Notes

  • Tax Groups rely on ledgers created in the Chart of Accounts

  • Output and Input accounts must be mapped for correct accounting entries
