How to Configure Clinic Appointment Timing?

This article explains how to configure default appointment timings for the clinic calendar in Helix. Appointment Timings define the working hours of the clinic and the default slot duration used when booking appointments.

🧩 What Appointment Timings Control

Appointment Timings determine:

  • When the clinic day starts and ends

  • How long each appointment slot is

  • How available booking slots are displayed across doctors and departments

These settings act as the calendar default.

⚙️ How to Configure Appointment Timings

  1. Click Appointment Timings

  2. In the pop-up window, configure the following fields:

🕐 Slot Duration

  • Select how long each appointment slot should be
    (e.g., 15, 30, or 60 minutes)

⏰ Start Time

  • Define when the clinic’s working day begins

🕕 End Time

  • Define when the clinic’s working day ends

  1. Click Confirm to save

🔄 Apply the Changes

  • Log out and log back in for the changes to take effect

✅ Result

Once configured:

  • The Calendar automatically displays appointment slots only within the defined working hours

  • Bookings follow the selected slot duration

📝 Notes

  • Appointment Timings apply globally as calendar defaults

  • Logout/login is required after every update
