What happens to the invoice after it is fully or partially refunded?
When an invoice is fully or partially refunded in Helix, its status is updated to Refunded. However, the original invoice remains unchanged. The refunded amounts are also reflected in the relevant financial and collection reports, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance. This means the reception can still provide the patient with a copy of the original invoice, along with the refund voucher generated by the system at the time the refund is issued.
Both documents ensure transparency and proper documentation of the transaction.
